General Policy

For everyone’s safety, the UPSE Library’s premises shall be used solely for academic purposes.

Service Hours

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No Noon Break)
  • Closed on weekends and PH Holidays

Protocols before Entering Library Premises

1.Present your UP ID/Library Pass to the guard on duty.

2.Have your temperature checked.

3. Scan your Library Pass upon entry to the Library. 

Important: For first-time users, please secure your pass at the Library Circulation Section. 

Protocols while inside Library Premises

1. Please wear your mask properly at all times.

2.  Do not eat or drink inside the Library. 

3. Tone down your voice when conversing with other people.

4. Do not vape or smoke inside the Library. 

Borrowing/Returning Books

Please proceed to the Library Circulation Section when borrowing/returning books. 

Request Scanning of Book Chapters (Document Delivery Service)

If you only need two chapters of a book, you may ask the Library to scan them for you.

Important: The Library can only give requestors a temporary viewing link to two chapters of a book to avoid violation of the copyright law. A scanning request usually takes 3-5 working days to be completedEmail upselibrary.upd@up.edu.ph to avail.

Accessing Datasets

The UPSE Library is subscribed to four dataset providers namely, CEIC Data, EIKON with Datastream, ORBIS Database, and GTAP Database. In addition, datasets from ADB, BSP, DSWD, PCED, PSA, UNDP, UNESCO and World Bank are also available.  Please email upselibrary.upd@up.edu.ph for access instructions. 

Accessing eDatabases

The UP Diliman Libraries’ databases can be accessed remotely/outside campus via OpenAthens. Instructions can be found here

Accessing ePeriodicals

The UPSE Library is subscribed to The Economist, New York Times International, South China Morning Post, and Time Magazine Asia. Please email upselibrary.upd@up.edu.ph for access instructions. 

Accessing eTheses and eDissertations
