Item Restricted An asessment of the structural quality of rural health units in the Philippines(2015-06) }scandor, Juris Vittorio E.; Tan, Edita A.The paper assesses the quality of Rural Health Units (RHU's) in the Philippines and provides policy direction to improve the quality of health services provided by these RHU's. The paper looked at the structural quality ofRHU's as reflected in their personnel, equipment and services the RHU's could provide. Data was provided by the Department of Health. The results show that the general quality ofRHU's are unsatisfactory. RHU's lack both equipment and personnel and as a result they are unable to provide the services that they are mandated to do.
