However, very few provinces are able to hone and maximize the gains of tourism. This study examines Palawan, one of the country's most successful tourist destinations. It aims to review the impacts of tourism on the local economy as well understand what the province has done differently in terms of policies, projects, and more importantly, which of these can be adopted to other tourist sites in the country.
