However, issues facing the quality and efficiency of roads throughout the country cannot be ignored. Roads are critical in fostering economic development throughout the country. Previous studies have shown a direct positive connection between good roads and higher productivity. This means that roads, which ease mobility and network connectivity; enable the economy to grow and prosper. This study looks deeper into the role of roads in facilitating productivity and poverty reduction throughout the regions.
