Item Restricted A correlational study of the number of TESDA accredited TVET providers in a region on the number of TVET enrollees(2013-03) Bongco, Trixia P.; Ditablan, Ronald DC.; Kraft, Aleli D.Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) has been continuously gaining much relevance as an approach to sustaining economic growth and increasing global competitiveness of the country's labor force. Thus, this study gaged on determining the significance of the number of TESDA-accredited TVET providers or TVIs in a region on the number of TVET enrollees to examine the relationship between the latter and the demand for TVET. With this, the paper presents a hypothesis that the number of available TVI positively affects the number of TVET enrollees within that region. Panel data method is applied to determine the impact, alongside other regional factors like financial aid grants and regional population. Results from the random-effects models suggest that the quantity of TVIs in a region is indeed significant and the breakdown furthers to the outcome that private TVIs have more impact on the demand.
