    There are many ways to increase employment. One is to develop the skills and knowledge of the people through education. Recognizing this vital role played by education on employment, a major portion of the government's budget is being allocated for the different levels of education each year. This paper shows that the government budget for elementary education has a better impact on reducing the unemployment rate among those who completed elementary· education compared to the government budget for secondary education. The technical results of the study show that the elementary unemployment rate has a negative relationship with the budget for elementary education. The key policy implications is that since elementary level is the optimum level that will improve the country's employment situation, this should be the priority of the government in allocating its resources.
