The study finds that the technology has a gender empowerment effect: females are more likely to establish a business only if online selling is a feasible option. Similar results are obtained for new entrepreneurs and individuals who have received post-tertiary education.enInternet entrepreneurship and the empowerment effect of electronic retailingThesis
