Working on a pooled data analysis, the study makes use of regression models having 2 dependent variables, nominal and real salaries and wages, respectively. Independent variables consist of Real Labor Productivity, Consumer Price Index, and Unemployment Level. Results of the study show that labor productivity has a strong relationship with salaries and wages. To the extent that a relationship between productivity and wage can be presented, this will support that productivity is a significant factor considered in wage determination.
