This will -be done while looking at the growth trends in the industry. It will start with a sweeping and very general historical backgrounder. It will then proceed with an overall description of the structure of the garments industry with an aim of establishing the groundwork for discussion. It will then continue to study the strengths and weaknesses of the industry while pinpointing the specific problems the export sector faces. These problem areas, namely: 1. quota restrictions on our exports, 2. raw material supply bottlenecks, 3. market diversification, will then be examined along with the government policies d e signed to address them. An assessment of the government policies will be made to determine whether they contributed to the industry's growth and development.enGarment industryTextile industryGarments manufacturingManufacturing industryGarment analysisThe garments industry in the Philippines: a trend analysis, 1970-1986Thesis
