On July 2, 2024, the UP School of Economics had the pleasure of hosting a distinguished group of professors and the Dean from the College of Economics and Management at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA). This visit was part of an academic exchange aimed at fostering collaboration and enhancing educational programs.

A significant highlight of their visit was the tour of the UPSE Library. The librarians at UPSE warmly welcomed the CBSUA delegation and provided a comprehensive tour of the library’s extensive resources and cutting-edge services. The guests were introduced to the library’s diverse collection of academic journals, books, and digital resources that support advanced research and learning in economics.

The purpose of the academic visit was multifaceted. It aimed to aid CBSUA in developing and enriching its Bachelor of Science in Economics program by benchmarking against the facilities and practices at UPSE. During the visit, in-depth discussions were held regarding best practices in library management, resource acquisition, and student support services. These discussions were instrumental in providing valuable insights to the CBSUA team.

The visit also included engaging conversations and networking opportunities between the CBSUA delegation and the UPSE faculty and librarians. These informal interactions allowed for the exchange of ideas and experiences, further strengthening the academic ties between the two institutions.

At the conclusion of the visit, the UPSE librarians expressed their heartfelt thanks to the CBSUA professors and Dean for choosing the UPSE Library as a part of their benchmarking initiative.
