The Technical/Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program aims to improve labor productivity. It offers special training courses that increase the students' skills set~ aligning these skills to match the demands of the labor market. With proper implementation, this program has the potential to address the country's unemployment problem by creating a globally competitive workforce which will be employable here and abroad. This study shows that TVET training generally increases income and employment. Although these increases are smaller than college graduates, they are already comparable with college dropouts. With the low cost of TVET and the short and flexible nature of the program, the study suggests that vocational education can be substituted for college education especially for the poor who cannot access, much less, finish college.
