Abstract

This paper is a cross-country analysis discussing the impact of corruption on investments. The model used is the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) Method employing the Gross Domestic Investment (GDI) and Foreign .Direct Investment (FDI) as the dependent variables and the indices on corruption given by the Political Risk Survey's (PRS) International Country Risk Guide (ICRG) and Transparency International (TI) as the independent variables. This paper also incorporates other factors that determine investments such as domestic credit, inflation rate, export orientation, GDP growth rate and GDP per capita.
