dc.description.abstractThis paper analyzes the structure of excise taxation of 3 petroleum products in the Philippines and investigates how an increase in the tax rate would affect the demand of the particular good. The study finds that attempts to increase specific tax on diesel may prove to be advantageous to the economy as a whole.
