| dc.description.abstract | This paper is an inquiry on how population growth affects a country's gross national product, as measured by expenditure shares. Data on the levels of consumption, investment, government expenditure, net exports, GNP and population growth of the Philippines were acquired from the Philippine Statistical Yearbook and the Economic and Social Statistics Office of the National Statistical Coordination Board. The computer software SAS System was used in determining regression equations from which interpretation and analysis of the data are based. After examining the results, it was found out that population growth is positively related to the level of consumption, investment and government expenditure and is negatively related to net export. | |
