Abstract
An analysis of the Philippine unemployed and unemployment situation, specifically its trend, profile and composition for the years 1981 to 1990. Focusing more on the unemployment by educational attainment, distinguishing between the educated the uneducated or OSYs unemployed. Comparison is\done based on magnitude, percentage of the population, waiting time and differential. In addition, it assesses the efforts done by the government to rehabilitate the manpower reserved among the the OSY being the group that demands greater attention.
