This study investigates the propensity of university alumni to contribute to their alma mater. A logit model was fitted to the survey response data from 1969/70-2000/01 alumni of the University of the Philippines School of Economics. The probability of giving was found to be positively significant in relation to the School keeping in touch with the graduates, and negatively related to alumni with family who graduated from the University and alumni who received honors upon graduation. The logit estimates were then used to predict the likelihood of giving which can be expected to assist in making more efficient fund-raising decisions.
