Abstract
This paper attempts to study the relationship of asset size and dividend payout ratio with the growth of earnings in the Philippine banking system to determine the efficiency in utilizing the capital. This is patterned after the study conducted by I.M.D. Little in the United States where he probed the relationship between a company's dividend policy and its future earnings using the Least Squares Method.
