This study focuses on the socio-economic factors affecting physical violence against women by their intimate partner. It used the 2008 National Demographic and Health Survey of the Philippines, focusing on the Women's Safety Module. After regression through the Logit model, it was found that education in single years of man and woman, the wealth index equal to richest, the place of residence, the marital status, and the number of children five and under are significant. On the other hand, age difference of the couple, current employment status of the woman, her partner's occupation and wealth index equal from poorest to richer are insignificant.
