This thesis aims to look at the effectiveness of the new policy in reducing the number of bus accidents in the National Capital Region (NCR). All monthly data covering the period came from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). Authors regressed the number of bus accidents against variables such as a fixed wage dummy, number of bus trips, number of cars in NCR and weather and found that with the execution of a fixed wage scheme, the number of accidents in Metro Manila decreased.
